General guidelines:

• Diagrams should always be drawn using a sharp pencil and a ruler.

• Diagrams should use the standard symbols for apparatus and equipment. Remember that you are NOT drawing a picture.

• Diagrams should be labelled using correct name for apparatus eg ‘beaker’ not a ‘container’.
