Welcome to Science and engineering @ Chandlings

"Our vision is to foster a passion for Science and Engineering and build a skill set that will enable Chandlings children to leave school and enter the rapidly growing market of engineering and STEM careers".

Science (physics, chemistry and biology) is taught through half termly topics which are carefully designed to develop a progression of scientific knowledge and skills throughout the school. We aim to engage and inspire children to learn by stimulating their curiosity and by helping them to discover scientific ideas and concepts through practical work, field work and first-hand experiences.

Engineering projects are woven into the Curriculum. These will challenge the children to solve problems using their Scientific knowledge and understanding as well as their Mathematical and Technology skills.
